What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when a website loads. They can keep a website secure, remember preferences and, with permission, help a website understand how people use it.
How we use cookies
Alma Forest School uses one necessary first-party cookie, alma_consent, to remember your privacy choices. Analytics, marketing measurement and external media are optional and remain disabled until you grant the relevant permission.
Services and storage
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
alma_consent | Alma Forest School | Remembers your cookie choices so we don’t ask again on every page. | Necessary | 6 months |
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart so we can count visitors and see how the site is used. | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_NGT8LDMM4X | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit for our Google Analytics property. | Analytics | 2 years |
Google Ads measurement | Google Ads | Measures clicks that open the external admissions application. | Marketing | As set by Google’s service, up to 90 days |
Google Maps cookies, such as NID | Set by Google when the map loads, to remember settings and protect its service. | External media | Up to 6 months |
Google Consent Mode
Google Consent Mode defaults analytics and advertising storage to denied. When you save a choice, the site updates those states. Google Tag Manager container GTM-TW5RF6B5 loads only when you permit analytics or marketing.
Manage your preferences
You can change or withdraw consent at any time. Your new choice applies immediately on this device.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Instructions are available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
